Season 9 will be kicking off next week in your inbox, make sure youâre there!
A round up of what Iâve been doing since you last saw me in December
A quick âwhat to expectâ for all the people who have subscribed since I last published and been met with silence (welcome!)
Hola Mehketeers,
Is it too late to say Happy New Year? I havenât seen you since December!
I originally intended on Season 9 publishing soon than this, but I had some personal life challenges that zapped all of my motivation to write and I never want to publish something sub-standard.
Todayâs email is a reminder that I do exist, and a prayer to the email gods that Iâm not in your spam. Click a link, any link, to signal to your email that we are friends and this isnât a hostage situation.
Hereâs a link lucky dip (pick one, itâs more fun if you donât know what the other two are!)
What Iâve been up to
Despite being fairly silent online, I have been busy. I worked through the Christmas/New Year break on new projects and my usual client roster (more about what I do for work in this Mehdeeka issue.)
I also got invited to cohost Startup Dailyâs new podcast, Startup 360, where each Friday we interview two startup founders about the more human side of being a founder and discuss a news story or two from the week. Hereâs the home page for it, with links to Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube.
I often get told once people hear me speak they read all my writing in my voice - this could be you too now!
A small reminder that I wrote a book late last year on setting up the foundations of product marketing. Whether youâre working in B2B SaaS or not, or whether or not youâre even a product marketer, thereâs a lot in here about stakeholder management and working with other teams so itâll be valuable for you too! Itâs super practical with tasks to complete and a timeline (but keeps in mind you have a job to do.)
If youâre looking for an ebook version, just search The Mehdeeka Method on Amazon or the Kobo store.
The last extra curricular Iâm working on is Generate Summit 2025! I am once again leading the programming of this B2B marketing conference. Early bird tickets just released - if youâre in ANZ consider joining us!
If this newsletter isnât proof enough, Iâm all about finding speakers who are in the weeds doing interesting work and actually have something to say â not just people who work for companies with recognisable logos. Outside of the Summit, the Slack community is free to join, but there is some membership criteria - check the website.
What to expect for Season 9
A recap of how Mehdeeka works:
12-13 week seasons, with a break in between so I donât burn out and content quality stays high
Occasional bonus issues that donât count towards the season
Interviews with Australian marketers who are doing cool things
Deep dives on marketing, spanning pretty much any topic but mostly focused on B2B SaaS businesses
Every Wednesday (Australia time)
For next weekâs issue Iâm breaking down the marketing of Headspace, which isnât B2B, but they recently did a product release so itâs a great opportunity to collect a fresh case study!
I am so glad youâre here for Season 9!
If you want to show support to Mehdeeka, the best way will always be to encourage a friend or colleague to subscribe, or share a post on any social media of your choice that this is a great newsletter youâre getting a lot of value out of!
See you next week,
Kayla
