Mehdeeka is for solo marketers or small teams working in the B2B, SaaS, startup, and tech spaces. Check out the previous issue: Lessons from Disney’s CEO. Help me grow Mehdeeka by sharing it with a friend or colleague!
This is officially 3 months of Mehdeeka! That’s right, I’ve been in your inbox for 25% of 2020. I’m going to take this as an opportunity to do an unconventional issue where I’m going to throw a few things at you all at once instead of sprinkling them throughout future issues.
First up: How are you liking the interviews? I’d love your feedback on them, but I do have a specific question in mind. Should I keep the current length or cut it down to just three questions (instead of five)?
Click here to vote for three questions and click here to vote for five questions.
Next up: Me! Here’s just a bit of insight into what I’m working on (like, at work). Actually right around the time this email is scheduled to go out, I’ll be presenting a draft of a re-imagining of our sales proposal deck to the team.
Documents definitely go stale, so I’d recommend you do a mini asset evaluation and see what hasn’t been updated for a while. With the summer slow down coming up, it truly is a great time to start planning what pieces need to be updated with a deep focus on them, without a rushed deadline.
What I’m struggling with (as a solo marketer) in this project is really missing that sounding boarding. Does this word sound better than that word? Is this too much product marketing and not enough sales? Does this sound too pushy?
Keep your fingers crossed for me!
Finally: You.
If you have something you’ve worked on, a topic you’d like to discuss, a request for myself, please do send it my way!
I’m also always looking to feature more people that I haven’t met yet, and I really encourage you to just send me a message and say you’d like to be featured. I know it’s really hard to stick your hand up for something like that, but there’s literally nothing holding you back and I promise I don’t bite!
Or, you could always nominate someone you think deserves a little bit of attention.
Clicks, as usual
Ok some cool stuff, this campaign that utilised Instagram profiles in a really cool way definitely got my brain ticking, and I hope it does for you too.
Here’s an incredibly interesting (but not marketing related) read from Atlas Obscurer about dance hall marathons from the 1920s, from why they were born to how they ended and how they survive today.
And the Hustle x MSCHF made this joke Theranos CEO job ad.
Next week…
The interview that should have been this week will be out next week!
